With great enthusiasm, the people of Puerto Plata are gearing up for their presence in the important tourism showcase where tour operators, travel agents, airlines, and other industry stakeholders from over 30 countries gather.
A large delegation from Puerto Plata is getting ready to attend the 43rd edition of the tourism showcase ANATO 2024, in response to an invitation from the Dominican Ministry of Tourism. The ministry will emphasize this destination during its participation in this commercial meeting scheduled to take place from February 28 to March 1 at Corferias Bogotá, Colombia.
The diverse representation includes authorities, leaders from the tourism sector, entrepreneurs, and the press. They have coordinated their attendance and will depart for Bogotá on February 27 via a special flight arranged by the airline Arajet, facilitated by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Tourism Cluster and associations from Puerto Plata. This flight will depart from Santo Domingo to the North Coast, with the final destination being the Colombian capital, where the event will unfold.
With much excitement, the people of Puerto Plata will have a presence in this significant tourism showcase, attended by tour operators, travel agents, airlines, and other industry players from more than 30 countries worldwide. The event will showcase the latest developments in Dominican destinations, with a special emphasis on the current diversification efforts in Puerto Plata.
Leading this participation will be local authorities, including the Municipal Mayor of Puerto Plata, Diomedes García, and the Regional Director of the Ministry of Tourism for the North, Carlos Atahualpa Paulino. Representing the private sector will be Birgitt Heinsen, President of the Tourism Cluster of Puerto Plata, Carlos Rodolí from the Association of Hotels, Restaurants, and Tourism Companies of the North (ASHONORTE), César José de los Santos from the Association of Hotels and Commercial Establishments of Playa Dorada, and Mileyka Brugal from the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Puerto Plata.
Accompanying them will be accredited entrepreneurs such as José Natalio Redondo, Roberto Casoni, Pablo T. Brugal, Schembri Sant, Camilo Brugal, Francisco Gómez, Luis Caraballo, Juan Yamil Musa, and Roger Mariotti. Additionally, representatives from Sales and Marketing of Blue Bay, Ocean World, VH Hotels and Resorts, Manureva Tours, Freedom Builders Global Group SRL will be present, along with a delegation from the municipal government and a group of artists and cultural representatives that characterize the destination.

At ANATO 2024, we will be committed to strengthening ties with tour operators who have traditionally supported us, and we are heading towards establishing new relationships to enhance our promotion and attract new visitors," they affirmed.
They announced that during the DR Tourism Road Show Colombia, presented by Tourism Minister David Collado, a Dominican destination will have the opportunity to be showcased by one of its stakeholders for the first time. They believe this presentation is timely and will be well-received to highlight all the advantages that Puerto Plata offers in its diversified proposal.
