Minister of Interior and Police, Jesús Vásquez Martínez, stated on Tuesday that if the Dominican Republic received 10 million tourists by the end of 2023, it is due to the high levels of security exhibited by the nation.
Before entering the National Congress to witness President Luis Abinader's accountability speech, the public servant explained that tourism depends on the social stability of the visited country.
"If 10 million tourists come to the Dominican Republic, it's because there is trust and security. Nobody goes to a country where there is no security," he declared.
